Angela Davis Fegan, 'Lavender Menace Toolkit'
The 'Lavender Menace Toolkit' extends the reach of Angela Davis Fegan’s Lavender Menace Poster Project, a series of text based works that utilize letterpress printing, hand papermaking, and laser cut text, to address queer visibility politics, while creating art objects that are easily distributed through an invisible network of participants. The goal is to make works that speak to a marginalized population while also enlisting them to engage with and distribute the work outside of the white cube gallery space. The items in the toolkit equip the user as a vector for radical queer voice in the public realm.
Full toolkit includes one laser cut stencil on handmade paper, three stickers, one manifesto card, and one 18" hand-dyed and printed linen bandana.
Bandana is also available for solo purchase.
Bandanas are hand-dyed and each contains natural variations as well as unique print/design placement. Contact us before purchase for specific color choice/availability.
